This week we read the story There's a Hippopotamus in the Playground Eating Cake! The story discusses a child's first week at school and their growing confidence and enjoyment of school as the week progresses. As a class we discussed how we felt about coming to school and the things that we enjoyed most about the first week of Kindy. We thought we may have heard a hippo on the roof of our class so we went searching to see if we could find him.
Each child then made their own hippo eating cake and told us what their favourite memory of the first week of school was. We hope to see the hippo around school soon!
